Horological Prayer
11.12.2020 - 03.01.2021

A scarecrow appears as a stand-in DJ, slouching at a high table partially submerged into a missing tile in the suspended drop grid ceiling. Poppyseed hourglasses made from cold-pressed ginger juice bottles wait for an absent substitute teacher.
Yellow #2 pencils are thrown and stuck in the ceiling tiles surrounded by indoor-outdoor earthworks: floor drawings with chia, ash and turmeric. Sheet music rests on music stands from a composition for string trio that only the violist showed up to perform. While the opening night concert has since ended, the exhibition may be visited privately by appointment.

Memphis' eighth exhibition is by E. Macmillan (b.1988) and Geranium Dream (b. 2020) and will be followed by a series of wandering concerts next year.
